This twist spark igniter creates a spark using a flint.
Threads into a 19/64 hole.
The safest place to mount the igniter is in an area that goes through a fitting and pipe where the plastic is the thickest.
*Drilling a hole in the cleanout plug to mount the igniter is not recommended because it can weaken the plug. You have been officially warned.
But you will probably do it anyway like I have because it is convenient.
Every igniter is tested and inspected prior to shipping.
DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN THE SCREW ON THE IGNITER HANDLE. IF YOU BREAK IT YOU WILL NEED TO BUY A NEW ONE. NO FREE IGNITER REPLACEMENTS.
The screw that holds the handle on is made of brass. It may break if over tightened.
